Several Ways to Boost the Curb Appeal of Your Chain Link Fence

Your chain-link fence is a versatile piece of your home’s landscape design. However, it isn’t always the most attractive.

Your chain-link fence is a versatile piece of your home’s landscape design. However, it isn’t always the most attractive. For instance, if you need a fenced-in yard, it will get the job done. Still, it isn’t always the most pet-friendly if your cats and dogs don’t like other animals intruding on their domain. Here are some suggestions for making your chain-link fences more aesthetically appealing!

Add a Wooden Frame

One way to spice up your fence is to put a wooden frame around it. However, it is hard to put it around your entire property. If you want to live in a rural area with livestock, rabbits, and chickens, this can become bothersome. Wooden posts also increase the overall stability of the structure. Doing the reverse – adding a panel of chain links – onto a wood fence is a great way to keep horses and sheep from escaping when an approaching truck scares them.

Install Privacy Measures

Turning your fence into a privacy shield is another fabulous idea. For this to work, you will need to cover up the small gaps between the links. Slats are a gorgeous addition that can impress your neighbors – always an important consideration – and you can also have textured panels that look like wood, lattice, and bamboo. Best of all, the slats are waterproof, which is fantastic news for anyone who lives near the shore.

Try Using Pallets

Recycling old wood is an ingenious way to help the environment. Plus, you can benefit from your eco-friendly strategy! Boards and wires can complement your curated landscape and hardscape features just in time for the spring warmth!

Update the Color

Changing the color of the chain-link fence itself is another direction that you can go in, but be sure to clear it with your HOA first! Some communities have rules and regulations controlling the look of the fences, especially if they are too high or problematic in other ways. Colorful polymers can give you an option besides old-school paint, but you can still use a different color or pattern to refresh the palette if you so wish!
